DOR on Miners Ravine Trail
Roadkill. Likely mating pair found in road (not in a driveway, not close to a yard)
Observation and photograph by Jenn Rose
*Additional note; Sunny and windy day, though not especially warm. They were run over many times, such that no further juices were getting forced out. Likely were killed on 3/19, giving enough time for multiple hits and enough time for muscle and blood to dry, but not so much time that exposed tissue had all turned black. Could also be 3/18 death, but hard to know. (Greg Pauly and Jenn Rose)
In a Douglas fir in Running Springs California. The squirrels were located in my back yard.
So many of these things!
Found by Dr. Robert Fisher. Mating
A very small individual, the only one I saw growing.
