The tidepools in this islet were mostly filled with Bat Stars (Genus Patiria) so it was interesting to see a Blood Star in this area.
Creature was 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter, from arm tip to arm tip.
very small and sitting on a tip of a chitin next to a ochre sea star
Not sure if proliferating or brooding but I think proliferating.
There were so many bat stars in this area. I loved seeing the wide varieties of red to orange colors. Did not see any blue colored ones.
These appear to be egg sacks, are they octopus? On the beach near Seal Rock tide pools at a -2 tide.
