Not certain at all of identification, but I see quite a few of these (I have an acreage on the Ocmulgee river).
Family Bufonidae: large parotid glands, warty skin
Around midnight, a cool night with dew on the grass.
This was right outside my house.
It was just stilling in the grass.
Found on a warm early January afternoon by one of our maintenance crews.

I have NO idea what he is! But he’s tiny! He was making a striking motion but only out of self defense. I don’t think he was actually trying to bite.
The neighbors are panicking saying it's a copperhead. The head is narrow in the pupils are round. Some kid ran over it too with his "hoverboard". Pretty mad about it.
