With Valeri Ponzo and Don Fraser; our final stop on our three-day trip to southeastern Florida -- mostly butterflying but always birding. We walked the boardwalk and back, then explored the western edge of the parking lot. I photographed lots of bromeliads -- all of them Cardinal Airplants, according to iNat -- along the boardwalk; Lubber Grasshoppers were also plentiful. The weather was sunny and 89 degrees ("feels like" 93), with a light breeze. We left at 1635 and headed home.
