I've been playing around with using uMap as a tool to for CNC projects to map out events around their city.
It's very easy to use, and you can add points, paths, or areas, separate out events into layers - so each day can be in it's own layer.
Colours of markers are very customisable and it's based on OpenStreetMap, which has superior detail on natural environments and walking paths compared to Google Maps.

It's also easy to embed in journal posts, like so:
