I decided to go visit the Pine Tree Preserver for the first time today in between my classes. The weather is fairly nice today, it was clear skies and very sunny. Although, it was a tad bit chilly out. I decided to take a few laps around the preserve given that it's very small. But the laps did allow me to see organisms that I didn't notice the first few times I walked around. I also decided to sit down for a bit on one of the benches under the shade to do some school work but I got a little cold and decided to keep walking. I saw lots of plants but not very many animals. Just only saw one squirrel. There were quite a few different types of flowers around and small plants that I couldn't recognize but they all had different types of leaves. I did also find this grey stuff all over all the rocks which inaturalist identified it as Rock Shield Lichens. Overall, I enjoyed the nature walk I went on today and it definitely was a perfect day to go.
