I am excited to be using iNaturalist in my ecology classes this term. We do not have a lab associated with this course and I am thrilled to get students outside making observations of the natural world and connecting those observations to course content.

Classes start tomorrow... let's do this!

Greetings, BIOL305 students!

Here are the basic guidelines for our project...

-All submissions must be found in natural areas in San Diego County, although they do not have to be native to the area. (Exotic/invasive species are ok, but plants in gardens on campus are not.)
-Photos must be submitted with each observation (preferably more than one photo that illustrates multiple characteristics of each organism to facilitate ID).
-Observations/photos must be made/taken by the owner of the iNaturalist account. Please do not submit observations taken by others.
-All photos must be taken during the term - you are welcome to add older photos, but they do not count towards the assignment.
