I walked through Riverside Park again and I finally was able to observe some animals. I saw some squirrels out and even an Amazon parrot! His name was Chester and he is 26 years old (older than me). The owner said that she took him out for a walk every single day in Riverside Park for all those years. The walk was very nice and calming as the cherry petals were floating throughout the sky. Many people were out getting their daily fix of fresh and nature during the quarantine. I really enjoy taking these walks and look forward to taking them.

This is a late post about my first time using iNaturalist. The first time I downloaded the app and went outside to look for plants was such a great time! I hadn't been out in a while due to the quarantine and I feel like I was missing out on Spring. Although I was only able to take a short walk through Riverside Park, I got to see many species of plants. iNaturalist is very easy to use and I got to learn a bit more about the biodiversity right next to me. I tried to observe some birds but it has been a bit hard and they move around a lot. Hopefully next time I will be able to observe some more birds and animals alongside some plants. I really like using iNaturalist and the online community seems great. I love looking at other observations when I'm stuck inside!
