Diversity of Species

Looking closely and utilizing inaturalist, my eyes have been opened to the diversity in my neighborhood. Multiple kinds of plants and animals are literally right outside of my door. Upon making observations, I began to pay more attention to the dozens of palm trees that I see. While I saw uniformity before hand, I know pay attention to the shape of the branches as well as the size and composition of the trunk. I'm curious to the financial difference and benefit that might be associated between these palms and why my neighbors chose the ones that they did, as each neigh bot seems to have one kind on their property

Investigating my backyard

While my family has always insisted on surrounding ourselves and cultivating plants, we have not always paid the same attention to the wild plants in our backyard. Even just walking circles around my south Florida pool, I have found multiple kinds of palm tress, exotic flowers, and many other species. All of these are mixed together to form a tropical backdrop that I know have a much greater appreciation and awe for.
