I am a birder, botanist, wildlifer, and restoration ecologist, currently residing in Northern Illinois. I currently work as a research coordinator at the Morton Arboretum leading a regional study on brush pile burning and its effects on soil, plants, and fungi. I have a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a M.S. in Biological Sciences from Northern Illinois University. My graduate research involved studying grassland birds, bison grazing, and prescribed fire at Nachusa Grasslands and Kankakee Sands. Looking forward to improving my plant and fungi ID skills and contributing to community science. Don't hesitate to correct my IDs!
