I am a biology professor at Mercyhurst University and specialize in aquatic ecology, invertebrate zoology and ornithology. I have always been fascinated with all kinds of plants too! My primary taxonomic specialty is microscopic freshwater plankton, and I also have quite a bit of experience with aquatic insects (in their aquatic life stages).
