About me
I'm an ecologist who started with plants but (as seems to happen) realized there are a lot of cool things living on plants.

I'm always learning. My IDs are often educated guesses or overly coarse when I am less familiar with a group or family. I greatly appreciate any comments or notes about what to pay attention to if you have the time to make them. Tips and/or hints when I get things wrong are wonderful!

Sometimes I go through the "unknown" observations and try to bin them into broad categories in the hopes that they'll be easier for experts to find.

Currently, I teach Environmental Science at Clark College.
Previously, I was an applied ecologist at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and a Ph.D. candidate at UC Santa Cruz
