I am an environmental educator with over 20 years in zoos and aquariums. Marine life is my passion. Special preference to sea otters and nudibranchs. Also very fond of octopuses (octopi). I also appreciate small species of sharks. Cookie cutter, epaulette and swell sharks for example.

I enjoy working with pre-k through college and beyond. Have done some high school classroom teaching.

Scuba certified but haven't been in the water for many, many years. More of an intertidal explorer although I could make an exception for an opportunity to dive with mantas or whale sharks. Ratfish are cute.

When I visit the mountains I enjoy photographing wildflowers and looking out for pica.

I have spent time working in SE Alaska and been close to humpbacks, orcas, sea otters and Stellar sea lions. Last summer I saw blue whales in Monterey Bay!!
