I've got a broad knowledge of the natural world and a love of lifelong learning. For a number of years, I worked at the California Academy of Sciences. Much of that time was spent as an educator/naturalist in the museum's Naturalist Center.

Other types of experience include working as an instructor for Tree Frog Treks and volunteering as a bird bander for the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory.

A few years ago, I completed my master's degree in ecology and biodiversity at Stockholm University, Sweden. My thesis focused on the diversity of galling and leaf-mining insects on urban pedunculate oaks (Quercus robur).

After that, I lived in South Korea for several years. Now I'm back in the United States--and working on uploading my backlog of various observations!
