I'm a PhD candidate at Virginia Tech investigating the taxonomy and systematics of millipedes. My research focuses on the order Polydesmida, but I'm a sucker for the Parajulidae as well. If you need help identifying millipedes, let me know! I would love to receive any millipede specimens you're willing to collect, especially the genera Pseudopolydesmus or Nannaria. I am also writing a guide to the millipedes of Ohio and am happy to identify any spottings from the state, as well as to receive any specimens you might collect.

If you're interested in sending me millipedes you find, please let me know! You can send them alive or preserved in alcohol (95% ethanol if possible), though live millipedes are preferred. To find millipedes, look under leaf litter, logs, and rocks, or go out at night with a UV flashlight--you may see some that fluoresce!
