Recently retired entomologist, with interest in botany and native bees. Main current interest is native bees of North America (especially Maryland (where I live), Arizona and New Mexico (vicinity of Southwestern Research Station in Portal, AZ)), including taxonomy and especially relationship of specialist bees to their pollen hosts. Also interested in kleptoparasitic bees and their hosts. I volunteer at Smithsonian Department of Entomology (my former workplace).
