I've loved the outdoors and nature since I was quite small. But it wasn't until my late 20s that I started seeing my immediate surroundings as an actual ecosystem that could be studied.

Birds were the "gateway drug" that started me down this path around 2015, and they remain one of my most ardent passions. I'm still a beginner birder, but I take every opportunity I can to improve!

I'm in the midst of a big career change, undergoing training to become a Naturalist. My main focus is native plant-insect ecology. I seek to educate and inspire people of all ages to see the land they live on not as an island, but as a connected ecosystem that can increase local biodiversity and fight climate change.
