I'm a professor of limnology (study of inland waters) in the College of Natural Resources at the University of Idaho. I enjoy working with under- and graduate students. Currently research includes examining the causes of toxic algal blooms in surface waters, nutrient inventories in Lake Coeur d'Alene sub-watersheds, and using drones to do some dye tracing to understand lake/wetland interactions (water and nutrient exchange). When I'm outside, I like to enjoy the moment and most times forget to pull out the camera in time to get good shots of what I'm watching.
