Dr. John Thorogood is a Senior Principal Ecologist at frc environmental.

John has specialist skills in environmental assessment, management, planning and monitoring of aquatic ecosystems; as well as aquatic biological surveys, ecosystem studies, fisheries science and aquaculture. His hallmark is in the identification of key issues and the delivery of practical advice based on a sound appreciation of the project’s overall objectives and constraints.

John has undertaken a diverse variety of projects, including a large number relating to coastal planning, ecosystem health assessment, major coastal development and coastal fisheries.
