I've been interested in the natural world since birth. My childhood walls were covered in bird posters, and in my twenties I delved into sharks and did a personal study of Amenomefishes colour variations over an 8 year period using books and the young internet - cataloguing and creating my own colour plates.

I've been a bird watcher and artist for years but only got really interested in everything else in September 2020 as part of my COVID resolutions. It's been awesome. I've been outside more, chasing down insects, looking at fungi and plants as well as birds and getting photos ID'd so I can look species up and learn more about them. My favourites are insects but seems to change depending on the seasons.

Hard to believe I've lived in my local area all my life yet never seen half of what I've recently discovered.
