I am mainly interested in the biology and conservation of non-avian sauropsids ("reptiles") and amphibians, but enjoy most organisms I stumble upon, and try to improve my knowledge especially with grasshoppers, dragonflies and birds. I have a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biodiversity, Ecology & Evolution from the University of Göttingen, Germany.

Disclaimer: When I hold protected animals (mostly amphibians or "reptiles") in pictures, there either exists a permit to handle them (i.e. in case of surveys involving funnel traps or nets) or they were found underneith structures like rocks or wood that could crush them if simply let down again. So common sense is to remove the animal, let the structure down, and set it free afterwards. This is done daily by hundreds of people, I just happen to take pictures for iNat during the process. I am aware of amphibian diseases and disinfect boots, nets, and my hands between sites (:
