Recent graduate from the University of Guelph (Freshwater Biology and Ecology). I specialize in freshwater mussels with four years of identification experience in southern/central Ontario (DFO and env. consulting). I'm also a curator of the Canaiad Mussel Project. If you have questions about Ontario mussels and want to learn more please reach out!

Here are some great identification resources for mussels: http://www.musselguide.ca/

Mussel observations can also be submitted directly to Fisheries and Oceans Canada using the Clam Counter app which also provides a convenient field key for ID

I also have a passion for herps, insects, and fish, and love working on all kinds of ID. If my observations don't show the correct ID features or I've misidentified something please let me know for the next time!
