I am an alpine ecologist, currently focusing on understanding mechanisms driving the escalator to extinction model with mountaintop species in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My research explores the highest elevation breeding bird in North America, the Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch, and their relationship to the alpine habitat specifically focusing on California's diminishing snowpack due to climate change.
