My name is Tiago, I'm a master's student in Conservation Biology at Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology in the same institution.

I've been on iNat for a couple of years now, and I think this website has helped me grow a lot as both a nature lover and a biologist. Nevertheless, I feel the need to state that I can't identify many things yet, but I'm learning more about the world around me. Hopefully, I can keep improving my photography and identification skills.

I'm not specialised in any taxa, but I'm very fond of insects. In the past year I have done som e volunteer work in the faculty's entomology lab, identifying diptera. Currently, I am working on my master's dissertation regarding "Biodiversity and conservation of insects in the Cesaredas Plateau (Portugal)", under ce3c: https://ce3c.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/member/tiagocarrapico

I am more confortable identifying observations from Portugal, but so feel free to tag me in any relevant observations (I cant guarantee an ID but at least I'll check it out :D)

These are my observations in need of identification or confirmation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=any&quality_grade=needs_id&user_id=tiagojrc&verifiable=any

I'll also leave here the link to my Research Gate: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Tiago-Carrapico
