Started off as tree-watcher in 2004 with a Kodak prime lens camera. Bird-watching wild birds with a Canon 10x P&S from 2007, and Canon EOS550D 100-400mm since 2013.
Certificate course in Natural History Illustration from Newcastle University Australia in 2017.
Insects, arachnids & tiny wildflowers with EOS750D 100mm macro since 2018.
I do not touch the organisms I photograph, except plant stems, fallen flowers, seeds.
Scared of large insects and arachnids, but ok to photograph them from a safe distance for ID.
