I grew up in inland Orange County, CA. Attended college at Humboldt State University (north coast of CA) and graduated with a degree in Natural Resources Interpretation. I became an all-arounder, in that I didn't become really good at identifying anything (except birds), but was introduced to lots of areas of the environment. Now I enjoy, but am not very good at the following: Odonata, Herps, Leps, Shrooms and plants. My favorite college course was Plant Taxonomy. Now I teach high school biology and Earth science.
