I'm mainly an amateur naturalist with a deep interest in botany, but I've done some botanical work professionally, too. I live in southwestern Ontario just down the road from the settlement founded by the early Canadian botanist John Goldie.

I've been on the Field Botanists of Ontario board of directors since 2019 and I coordinate FBO's three annual awards: the John Goldie lifetime achievement award, the student award and the Bill Crowley photography award.

I collect field guides and I started a Field Guide Exchange group on Facebook.
