3rd Nature Walk: Theme = PLANTS!

I took a walk through the woods near the reservoir on a beautiful day with temperatures in the high 70s—a refreshing change from the cooler weather we've had recently. I was initially worried about finding a polypodiopsida, but the first plant I came across was a fern. Surprisingly, the hardest to spot was an angiosperm, as many of the flowers had withered since my last walk. Fortunately, near the end, I found a white wildflower. Gymnosperms were easy to identify, as the area is filled with pines. Lastly, the bryophyte was also an easy plant to find because there was moss growing on most of the trees in the woods. Overall, the nature around Boston College is incredibly diverse, especially in terms of plant life.
