Can't wait for scientific data. I've been exploring the burn areas and contributed to https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/woolsey-fire-wildlife-and-plants, but of course cannot quantify and/or qualify the recovery I see, one observation at a time. But I also noticed that there are spots with scorched earth where nothing seems to take hold. They look like toxic islands surrounded by new growth. And there are so many invasive plants right now, Thistles, Mustards, Grasses...
