A pair of starlings is hanging around, singing, seem very interested in an opening between the rooftiles on the corner of the house block opposite the garden.
Herring gull and common gull visiting, together with a dozen black-headed gulls, all attracted by food thrown onto the shed by someone.
First bulbs sprout from the ground.
New garden bird: Short-toed treecreeper shortly visiting Alnus tree.
Great and blue tits inspecting the nestbox on the shed.
House sparrows have learned to feed from the feeding house on the shed.
Commonest birds in the garden: wood pigeon, blackbird, great tit, blue tit, house sparrow, dunnock, wren, robin & chaffinch.
Around the garden: grey heron, gulls & starlings.
Other species this month: carrion crow, collared dove, song thrush, short-toed treecreeper & rose-ringed parakeet.
