Garden Journal September 2020

(end of august) Female Pied Flycatcher stayed around the garden for 5 days, even saw it taking a bath in the new pond!

Common frogs can be found most nights when going out with a torch, often one sitting in the pond.

House mouse has been feeding on the bird food, coming out of the brick wall surrounding the pond. Also, there's one in the house..

Plants seem to be recovering from the summer's drought. Purple dead-nettle has started flowering again.

5th of September a hedgehog visited again.

Ordered a bunch of new plants to fill up the empty spaces, also cut back the evergreen shrubs so more light can enter the back part of the garden.

17th of September Common Redstart male! sitting by the garden pond for a second.

26th of September first Robin is back, also past two weeks occasionally Dunnock.
