I've added a link to Ke et al. to the split and to the new taxon. Of the authors, @germinalrouhan @mattamrenner @fayweili and @liyaung are more or less active here. Other than geography, S. medusa seems to be principally separable by rhizome character; the authors note that there are probably multiple entities yet unresolved in our current circumscription of S. dichotoma.
