Cap- 5.5 cm across, small appressed scales with darker center. Non distinct odor. Maybe T. vaccinum but I'm not familiar with that species.
Three of these spotted along trail to Hyas Lake.
No idea but something attacking this plant which is in huckleberry/ blueberry family.
Looks like Sclerotinia veratri, but under water. This is a trough that has been wet for weeks/months. Each fruiting body looked to be sitting at (exactly!) or attempting to be at the water line. Photos are the best I have.
Weird venation between gills. Fruiting under a lone planted incense cedar (see last picture for foliage).

Ripped from a tree by a bear in the Jackson Demonstration Forest near Fort Bragg. Found while clearing trail.
Not sure of tree species, maybe CA bay. Very old and rotted.
Some kind of polypore - Too pretty to pick or break apart to taste and smell.
