I am a gardener (certified Master Gardener, Penn State Extension) and amateur photographer. I photograph insects nearly every day. When we purchased our property in 2020, it was primarily lawn and mulch beds. We created a large meadow, pollinator garden, and multiple raised and other planting beds. My garden is now certified "Pollinator Friendly" by Penn State Extension, and I've noticed a huge increase in the numbers of insects that visit. They are documented here.
