MassWildlife, the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, is responsible for the conservation of freshwater fish and wildlife in the Commonwealth, including endangered plants and animals. MassWildlife restores, protects, and manages land for wildlife to thrive and for people to enjoy. Over 220,000 acres of Wildlife Management Areas and Wildlife Conservation Easements are protected by MassWildlife across the Commonwealth, and those areas are great places for naturalists to observe and enjoy the breadth of biodiversity in Massachusetts.
